The author goes beyond the void found in many transformational books by establishing the critical importance of the human factor in the equation. To overcome the human element, and its derailment of motivation and commitment, Beverly Flaxington shares her tested and proven SHIFT Model of change.
The author also divides the book into two sections, both of which are stand alone books, in and of themselves. The first part of the book establishes the action plan based on the SHIFT formula. This section of the book is designed to guide the reader toward a lasting breakthrough. The second part of the book is less structured, but contains techniques and exercises to facilitate the change established in the opening section in a more effective and manageable way.
